Everyone deserves a little love on Valentine’s Day

 Source: Tumblr

It’s a Tuesday night. Tomorrow it’s Valentine’s day. I’m still single and I’m totally fine with that. I actually am more at peace with being single than I’ve been ever before. Maybe you think that me admitting this is a little stupid, but that’s not what I think. In this world, we’re living in nowadays, being single is often showed as something sad and lonely. And that is just not true! Not being in a relationship gives you all the time to focus on yourself. You have all the time to get to know yourself better and you can learn to love yourself (more). It gives you the chance to grow so much as a person. Since Valentine’s Day is all about love, but I’m not in a relationship, from this year on mine will be all about self-love.

This afternoon when I was on my way back home from school, I bought myself flowers at the train station. I choose a bouquet of red/yellowish roses. I just put them in a vase with water in it, so that on Valentine’s Day, I will wake up to the sight of roses. Maybe you’re laughing at me right now and I don’t blame you. I know it sounds a little weird, but I think it’s important to show myself some love and this is my way of doing that. I am also planning on writing myself a love letter tomorrow, that I’ll open next year on Valentine’s Day. It’s important to love yourself.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? I would love to hear about it. Have a beautiful day!

8 ways to keep your room more organized

I love having my room all cleaned up and organized. It makes me happier and more productive. And I don’t think I’m the only one who feels better when their room is cleaned up.  But there is one little problem: it isn’t always easy to keep your room from not being messy.I think we all deal with the problem that is a messy room. And sometimes cleaning everything up might even feel pointless because you feel like that in no time it’s going to be a mess again. Now, what if I told you that I have the key to a cleaned up room that is longlasting. That sounds good, right? What I’m talking about is organizing your room. I’m going to share some tips that I’ve learned from my own experience with organizing my room throughout the years. And trust me these aren’t the standard tips you read about everywhere. You might even never have thought of some of these tips before.

Don’t try to fit in, focus on what makes you stand out

Being different, standing out from the crowd, is something people encourage you to be. There is after all only one version of you, they say. And I agree a 100% with that, but I also know that it’s easier being said than done. Because sometimes it can make you feel like you’re less when you’re different and not like other people. Being different can be hard, but don’t let that make you stop.

What to do & what not to do in Lisbon

Last year I went on a trip to Lisbon for 3 days. That city had been very high on my bucketlist for quite a while and when my mum offered to take me on a trip to a city of my own choice, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. 3 Days might sound like a short time to you, but I was actually able to do a lot in those few days. It surprised me a little too. In this post, I am going to tell you all about what you should and shouldn’t do in Lisbon.

I finally wrote a story again!

I love writing. I love it with all my heart. I don’t only love to write about what I observe or about the thoughts that are running through my mind. I also love to create through writing. I love making up new worlds. It’s the world of writing stories. Where anything is possible and where there are no rules. It’s not always easy to create a new story, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. A few weeks ago I have started with writing fiction again after not having done it for a year. I just didn’t have much inspiration for a new story last year. But now I’ve come up with a great idea!
