Summer. It feels like forever ago. Still, I can remember it like it was yesterday. I have done some really fun things last summer, that I haven’t shared anywhere yet. So a few days ago I came up with the idea to share my yet unshared adventures of last summer. And there are lots of beautiful pictures included.
What you see in the first picture is the view from my hotel room in Sofia, Bulgaria. As you might already know, I went to Bulgaria last summer. The last day I was there I stayed in a hotel in the city centre of Sofia and I was blessed with this view from my hotel room. I think it looks so cool! It kind of reminds of Lisbon, where I saw a lot of street art.
I always find the view from airplanes breathtaking. I took this picture on the flight from Sofia to Amsterdam.
It was a Sunday night in August and my parents had decided that they wanted to go cycling. Me and my two younger sisters decided that we wanted to join them. I have to admit that I do live in a beautiful town, surrounded by the beauty of nature (I still want to move from this town to a city, but that’s a story for another time). Not only was there a beautiful sunset that night, it was also full moon. You can see the moon in the first picture. I wish I could have captured the full moon more detailed, but I sadly couldn’t because that is just impossible with the camera lenses that I currently own. I still have the dream to one day capture the moon more detailed.
I found these beautiful postcards at a secondhand store when I was thrift shopping with my mum. All the postcards, except the one in the right upper corner, are from Canada. The other one is from Vienna, Austria. These postcards give me just so much wanderlust and make really want to travel to Canada.
On another sunny summer day, I decided to go shoot some pictures with my younger sister Iris. And I actually never shared any of those pictures, even though the result of the shoot was pretty great. But it’s never too late to post new pictures, right?
One day during my summer break I spontaneously decided I wanted to go somewhere. I didn’t know where to go, but I just wanted to do something fun that was outside of my house. After doing some searching on Google, I knew where I wanted to go: The botanical gardens in Utrecht. It cost me, I think around 7 euros but it was so worth it! There were so many plants, trees, flowers and at the time I was there, there were even butterflies. So that really was a day of relaxation for me. I’d really recommend you to visit that place if you live in The Netherlands or if you’re planning on visiting The Netherlands in the future.
And the last memory of last summer that I want to share with you was a day in the last week of my summer break. I went to the beach with mum. I didn’t think it was warm enough to go swim in the sea, but it was warm enough to tan and walk on the beach with my feet being touched by waves of water.
